Reading Strategies That Work
There are various reading strategies that work and needs to be implemented in children while teaching them to read effectively. Children during young age first learn to read and in subsequent years use reading to learn. Much of the time is usually used up in school or in doing homework that requires reading of workbooks, notes and textbooks. This leaves them with no time to develop their reading. As a result they don’t do well in other subjects such as literature, math, sciences and other studies. So to enable the children to read efficiently, it is necessary that academicians develop and enforce certain reading strategies that work, as it is the base to achieve any educational accomplishment.
Different Stages In Reading Strategies:
The initial stage of these strategies starts prior the child unfolds the book to read. It is called as the “Primary Reading Strategies”. In this phase, children can just read the label or heading of the book and make anticipations about the subject it contains. It also includes viewing the motive of writer to write such story. An individual can go through the pages of the script, searching for the hints about the story plan and see how it is composed.
