Guided reading strategies are the famous teaching method adopted by many teachers to gear the students in becoming the eminent and freelance readers.   1. Make a group of three to six students and give them the same reading book. Students can be assigned into higher groups as their reading technique improves. Other students can be made to read individually or in group.
  2. Prior to reading, time has to be allotted for discussing the storyline of the topic and general overview of the book
  3. Different reading times can be allotted to students so that everybody does not read at the same time. This step in guided reading strategies helps the students to gain speed, while reading and attention can be given to individual performance by tracking their record.
  4. If a student finds it difficult to understand a particular word then that word needs to be marked, teacher requires explaining it during the sessions. This helps the students to remember that word if it repeats in other readings.
